I knew that if I did not do something soon Violet would not survive. I reached down for some sand and threw it at the beast in my frustration. As I did so I felt myself heat up again. The sand leaving my fingers hardened into glass. The blast of heat travelled through the cloud of thrown sand forming it into sharp daggers. They flew towards the creature and I was convinced they would bounce off the beast’s sturdy shell, but instead they soared through it and punctured the flesh. In pain, the large Trillik dropped Violet who started running for the door, dripping with Trillik's rubbery saliva. The Trillik writhed in the sand and then squelched to the large doors that were the trainees’ exit out of the stadium. It slid straight over the guards and their electrically charged spears. The sheer weight of the dangerous being was enough to snap the nearly unbreakable Endrite poles that the guards gripped. The Trillik’s head acted as a battering ram as the hulking beast broke through the heavily guarded door. Its flippers pounded as it charged up the stairs and out into the large corridors that ran through the whole interior of the Kantalan.
